Illustrates the diverse ecology of the Burnaby lakes drainage systems. Features Deer Lake and Burnaby Lake. Shows students from BCIT Fish and Wildlife program involved in preserving this unique system in conjunction with the efforts of the City of Burnaby and those of the public at large. Part of BCIT's Fish, Wildlife and Recreation Program's Burnaby Lakes Systems Project (in partnership with the City of Burnaby). Voice over slides/still photographs.

Application of safety restraints

Shows nursing students how to perform correctly each of the following tasks: 1. tie knots for securing the ends of a restraint to a bed, chair, or wheelchair; 2. apply two types of jacket restraints for a patient in a bed, wheelchair, or ordinary chair; 3. apply a clove hitch restraint for wrist or ankle; 4. apply a wheelchair hip belt; and 5. restrain a patient's hands using a sheet, gown, or other bedding.

Introduction before the presentation: "Partnerships in Business" which is presented by Brian Gillespie, BCIT President and Don Calder, VP Network Operations, BC TEL. Mr. Gillespie talks about BCIT working with business and industry to improve business performance with a specific mention of specialized training centres: call centre, digital imaging, industrial control simulator, Venture program and Living Lab. Mr. Calder talks about the BCIT Call Centre-BCTEL partnership. After the presentation Jennifer Lee, Reservations Manager at Canadian Holidays, selects the winner of a draw for a trip to Las Vegas. Video ends with a small thank you presentation for Lynn Wagner for organizing the event.
