This series consists of published materials primarily to do with aircraft design and maintenance, the majority of which were likely used by Fernando Vachon as reference for teaching Aircraft Maintenance at PVI. Included are teaching guides, periodicals, pamphlets, handbooks, workbooks, study guides, an aviation dictionary, and general works about aviation. While most of the books are labeled property of Vachon, a few appear to have been textbooks assigned to Vachon’s students.

This series consists of four typed letters collected by Fernando Vachon. One letter, written in 1971 by P.J. Moloney, a Urologist at Vancouver General Hospital, is perhaps related to Fernando Vachon’s contribution to the construction of a hemodialysis machine. One of the letters concerns an airlift crane write-up by Vachon and Kenneth G. Fraser in 1971, submitted to Boeing Aerospace Group, Vertol Division, in Pennsylvania. The remaining two letters are to do with Vachon’s retirement from CP Air in 1977.

Subseries consists of materials used as reference documents by members of the Educational Council. These include the terms of reference of the Council, bylaws, rules for composition, basic rules of procedures, correspondence and other related documents.

This publication provide prospective and current students with information on the services, locations, and programs offered as well as entrance requirements, fees and course prerequisites. Full-time calendars (from 1965-66 to 2006-07) are available in digital PDF format. NOTE: The 1964-1965 digital full-time calendar is missing. The 1965-1966 print full-time calendar is missing. The 1975-1976 digital full-time calendar is missing. The 1979-1980 print and digital full-time calendar is missing. The 2000-2001 digital full-time calendar is missing. Subseries contains the time capsule items that were housed in a specially built concrete block and box in the BCIT Burnaby Campus Square. Time capsule was opened as part of BCIT's 50th anniversary celebrations in the fall of 2014.
