Part of a telecourse series, this video explores why businesses commonly fail so that the entrepreneur can develop strategies to avoid that end. Randy Vandermark, Department Head, BCIT Marketing Management, introduces the film: How can you survive business crises? Special guest is Veron Forester, partner in Canadian Tire Operations in the Vancouver area. Feature report: Starting a Business with Bob Grasley: How can you survive business crises? Features still drawings and step-by-step process with a voiceover and advice/information from business experts. These experts include: Bernard R. Wilson, Vice-President, Director, Price Waterhouse; Ron Besse, Gage Publishing; Dick Maybee; David Robbins; Russell Morley; and Jeremy Brown. Illustrates the diverse ecology of the Burnaby lakes drainage systems. Features Deer Lake and Burnaby Lake. Shows students from BCIT Fish and Wildlife program involved in preserving this unique system in conjunction with the efforts of the City of Burnaby and those of the public at large. The BCIT historical audio, video & film collection consists of over 100 videos, 30 films and 30 audio original recordings. The majority of these were produced by BCIT’s Audiovisual Department, Learning Resources Unit, and Marketing. The remaining media were created mostly by local professional videographers, alumni, and faculty. Nearly all of the audio and video works document the educational history of BCIT.

The digital collection contains a few of these works that have been digitized, and is steadily growing.
