The majority of these photographs were collected through a BCIT Marketing and Communications effort to share COVID-19 experiences within the BCIT community. BCIT Archivist started collecting BCIT websites specifically relevant to COVID-19 March 15, 2020. This started as BCIT's Breaking News website. By March 31st 2020 there was a dedicated BCIT COVID-19 website. Communication from BCIT to the BCIT community happened on this website and through YouTube videos. The BCIT COVID-19 website was deemed no longer necessary and taken down May 31, 2022. Starting June 1, 2022 all communicable disease information for the BCIT community would be communicated through the BCIT Safety, Security, and Emergency Management website.
