This subseries consists of annual reports produced between 1974 and 2011. In 2002 the name was changed to Annual Review.

Subseries comprised of reports and presentations made to the Board of Governors for internal review and to the BCIT Community regarding actions taken by the Board of Governors. As well as summaries of the Board of Governors for public consumption compiled and released by the Board Secretary. Distribution of this publication was discontinued in 1979 after which the role of reporting to the BCIT community of Board activities became part of "BCIT Developments." Includes statements issued by the Board of Governors to the BCIT community as well as the general public.

Subseries consists of resource materials created by other departments at BCIT, or documents created by external institutions that have been used by the President's Office. Documents include reports, proposals, assessments, publications, etc.

Subseries includes records about briefing notes, reports, analysis and recommendations that are created for purposes of decision making. Documents include reports, correspondence, memos, etc.

Subseries consists of design plans for PVI’s electrical training building. Building designs were created by Waisman, Dewar, & MacDonald Architects an Urban Designers and the programme was created by the Planning and Programming Branch of the Ministry of Public Works from information supplied by the Ministry of Education and Pacific Vocational Institute.

Subseries includes records about the organizational framework at BCIT. It includes organizational charts, re-organization communications, etc. Documents include function charts, departmental functions and relationships, organization records, etc.

Subseries consists of directories for PVI. These directories were created for new and perspective students as a way of providing information regarding the courses, programs and learning opportunities offered at the school.

This series consists of handouts and templates created by Fernando Vachon for the purposes of copying and distributing to students in his Aircraft Maintenance courses at PVI. Handouts include blank exam sheets, blank log sheets, blank aircraft maintenance checklists, blank worksheets, assignment instructions, technical drawings, and information sheets. Also included are handwritten notes.

Subseries consists of strategic planning documents, annual reports, correspondence, directives from provincial and federal ministries of education, surveys, and reference documents used to conduct research into trends etc. having an impact on the strategic direction taken by the school.

Subseries consists of photographs taken at BCVS and PVI. Images include students, buildings, machines, visitors, and Board members. Photographs were originally described by subject; this has been retained. Most appear to have been taken for use in the PVI publication Perspective. Series includes black and white, and colour prints, colour slides, negatives and contact sheets.

Subseries consists of documentation relating to Task forces initiated by the Educational Council. Task forces represented in this subseries include: Applied Research; Instructional Innovation; Unit of Credit; Experiential Learning and its Assessment; Student Research Papers; and Institute Evaluation.

Subseries includes records about educational and operational planning at BCIT, including strategic direction, and overall educational objectives and plans. Documents include correspondence, memos, reports, etc.

Subseries consists of materials used as reference documents by members of the Educational Council. These include the terms of reference of the Council, bylaws, rules for composition, basic rules of procedures, correspondence and other related documents.

Subseries consists of records created by the President’s Executive Council, which is composed of senior managers who make decisions on the institute’s operations. Documents include correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations, memos, reports, etc.

Subseries consists of agendas and minutes and some committee reports. Subseries is arranged in chronological order. Minutes for the following years are missing: 1984; 1986-1993.
Includes some documents that provide background information for the various agenda items. In most cases, the documents formed part of packages that were sent to Council members, and selected BCIT officials prior to each Board meeting.

Since its formation in 1979, the Educational Council has established a number of committees to deal with specific issues relating to educational policy and procedures. Standing committees represented in this subseries include: Agenda committee, Educational committee, Educational planning and policy committee, Educational standards committee, Nominating committee, Programs and priorities committee, Student appeals committee, Student services committee,Curriculum committee, Programming standing committee, and Executive committee.

Subseries consists of the agreement between Pacific Vocational Institute (PVI) and the British Columbia Government Employees’ Union. One booklet is titled “Instructional Unit,” the other “Support Staff Unit.”
