Video designed to help a BCIT Health Part-Time Studies student choose a nursing specialty. The specialty areas included are: critical care, emergency, neonatology, nephrology, neuroscience, occupational health, pediatric nursing, pediatric critical care, perinatal, perioperative.

Educational video produced for critical care nursing students. Using a dramatization, the video helps students practice systematic analysis and decision making skills. The narrator references a workbook for students that provides corresponding information and discussion questions.

Katherine Doyle, R.N. (Nursing Instructor at BCIT) discusses her experience studying nurse training programs in Malaysia during a project funded by CIDA Professional Awards Program and BCIT. The film is a video transfer of 3 projector slides and sound program (voice over of interviews and narration).

• Day in the Life of a Payroll Clerk: Helps occupational nursing students become aware of hazards in an office workplace. Examines the duties of a payroll clerk, Miriam Quarin, in order to illustrate white collar physical hazards and mental stress.
• Machine Doctor: Illustrates hidden hazards in industrial workplaces. Helps occupational nursing students identify the dangers by following the daily activities of a millwright at Scott Paper.

Film made for potential Nursing students about the two distance education nursing programs at BCIT: Remote Access Nursing (RAN) for the Nursing Diploma Program and distance education for Advanced Nursing Specialties. Includes interviews with instructors and nursing students around the province.
