Subseries includes records of policy development and approved policies at the institute level (example: Student Conduct, Grade Appeal, etc.). It includes educational and administrative polices. Documents include correspondence, memos, reports, policy documents, etc.

Subseries consists of photographs taken at BCVS and PVI. Images include students, buildings, machines, visitors, and Board members. Photographs were originally described by subject; this has been retained. Most appear to have been taken for use in the PVI publication Perspective. Series includes black and white, and colour prints, colour slides, negatives and contact sheets.

Subseries consists of directories for PVI. These directories were created for new and perspective students as a way of providing information regarding the courses, programs and learning opportunities offered at the school.

This includes correspondence, meeting packages, personal notes written by school staff, lists of students and graduates, conference packages, collaborative project materials etc.

Suberies consists of student Fish, Wildlife and Recreation (FWR), reports, project notes and related materials created between 1969-1985 and collected by faculty member Eric Crossin. Some materials created by BCIT faculty member Eric Crossin.

Subseries includes records relating to financial and funding information for BCIT. Documents include reports, correspondence, invoices, etc.

Subseries includes records about executive-level presentations prepared and given by BCIT’s Deans, Directors, Vice-Presidents, and the President, usually related to BCIT, management, or related topics. Documents include speeches, lectures, and addresses.

Subseries includes records about educational and operational planning at BCIT, including strategic direction, and overall educational objectives and plans. Documents include correspondence, memos, reports, etc.

This series consists primarily of journal articles collected by Fernando Vachon for the development of a maintenance manual for the Douglas DC-6, an airliner built by the Douglas Aircraft Company. Also included are clipped photocopied articles, which have been arranged for copying and distributing. The manual may have been developed for Vachon’s students at PVI, though this is uncertain.

Subseries consists of design plans for PVI’s electrical training building. Building designs were created by Waisman, Dewar, & MacDonald Architects an Urban Designers and the programme was created by the Planning and Programming Branch of the Ministry of Public Works from information supplied by the Ministry of Education and Pacific Vocational Institute.

Subseries consists of correspondence, statements, memos, etc. between the President's Office, the BCIT community, and external stakeholders.

This series consists of core-curriculum materials developed for the Aircraft Structural Repair Technician Program as a collaborative effort between BCIT and the Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council (CAMC). These include multiple draft copies of course materials for the program prepared by Fernando Vachon in English and French. Also included are cover pages, templates of trial sheets, indexes of materials, and handwritten notes by Vachon. The final products, the Course Outline and Instructor Guide, are available in two binders. These are each divided into sixteen courses: Shop Safety, Corrosion Control, Tools and Equipment, Sealing, Fastener Installation, Corrosion Assessment, Structural Damage Assembly, Assembly, Sheet Metal Repairs, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Composite Repairs, Composite Fabrication, Fabric Covering, Wood Structures, Fluid Lines and Conduits, and Windows and Lenses.

Subseries consists of the agreement between Pacific Vocational Institute (PVI) and the British Columbia Government Employees’ Union. One booklet is titled “Instructional Unit,” the other “Support Staff Unit.”

Subseries includes records about briefing notes, reports, analysis and recommendations that are created for purposes of decision making. Documents include reports, correspondence, memos, etc.

Subseries comprised of reports and presentations made to the Board of Governors for internal review and to the BCIT Community regarding actions taken by the Board of Governors. As well as summaries of the Board of Governors for public consumption compiled and released by the Board Secretary. Distribution of this publication was discontinued in 1979 after which the role of reporting to the BCIT community of Board activities became part of "BCIT Developments." Includes statements issued by the Board of Governors to the BCIT community as well as the general public.

The Board of Governors approves all academic policies, most general policies and significant administrative policies. Subseries consists of policies and procedures and working files.

Subseries comprises official minutes of regular meetings including open sessions as well as the official minutes of special Board meetings. Includes: meeting minutes, agenda, agenda support papers, official appendices comprising committee minutes, committee reports, correspondence, financial statements, lists of appointments and other documents. Open sessions are open to all members of the BCIT community and the public. These records are used to document all deliberations of the Board including the passage of motions and resolutions and the approval of governing decisions.
