About the building: NW03 was originally part of BCVS (British Columbia Vocational School). When BCVS opened in 1960 this building was under construction. It was completed around 1962-63 and was referred to as Building 1 Aeronautics or Aircraft Maintenance Building.
When the Aircraft Maintenance programs moved to Sea Island Richmond in 1978, around the time BCVS became PVI (Pacific Vocational Institute), Building 1 began being used for Painting & Decorating/Glazing programs.
When BCIT and PVI merged in 1986, later maps (1988) refer to it as Building 3 Painting & Decorating. It is currently referred to as building NW03 Painting/Glazing.
