      About the building: on May 5th, 1977 the Burnaby Vocational School official opened the J.W. Inglis Building. The building is named in honour of the first Principal of the Burnaby Vocational School. The John W. Inglis Building became part of Pacific Vocational School (PVI) in April 1978, and later in April 1986 became part of BCIT with the amalgamation of BCIT and PVI.
