Notes about building: Maquinna Residence Official Opening was September 15, 1978. (with residences for 250 students). Premier William R. Bennett officially opened Maquinna Residence and fitness trail.
Hans Haebler Co. Ltd of Vancouver were the general contractor and Zoltan Kiss and Partners of Vancouver are the Architects. The 3.4 acres of land was provided by the provincial through support of the Minister of Education, Dr. Pat McGreer.
